Abstract
Keys to achieve a predictable treatment in dental and implant-supported prostheses
Predictable is a term used when you are certain that something can be predicted before it happens. In science, the use of this word is the objective sought by many scientists who seek to argue the whys and wherefores of their research. Extrapolating this situation to the dental clinic, dentists always try to find a predictable treatment for our patients and this does not always happen. In Prosthodontics, carrying out a treatment with the certainty that there will not be any adjuvant problem is extremely complicated, but we can know the possible etiological factors that can lead to a failure or complication in our therapy. Predictability in prosthetics, both in teeth and implants, must be our motto and we must know what works, empirically and scientifically, in the restorative treatment of our patients. The objectives of this workshop will be focused on the approach of “clinical recipes” for the restorative treatment of teeth and implants in dentate, partially edentulous and totally edentulous patients. In this way, we will analyse in detail how we are going to treat the affected area, with what technique, what materials will be used, what tips we must take into account, and how its clinical maintenance will be.
